throat
It was on the throat and it felt like it
It slipped off the edges and stayed there
When it settled into the grooves of the world it soured the soil and water and everything else surrounding it
Once you got used to it to the point where you could take your shoes off and it felt like a home
You lived there for a while
Eventually it rained and the red on your nose washed away
That was days ago and you're now wet and you're now cold
